Mountain Village Tuition Options
Choose the option that aligns with your family's financial circumstances and the investment you wish to make in fostering a thriving learning community.
1. Forest Guardian Membership: $400 per child per month
◦ Geared towards families who can provide strong financial support, nurturing our educational forest community.
◦ Requires 2 days of volunteer commitment per month.
2. River Spirit Membership: $325 per child per month
◦ For families actively participating in and benefiting from our educational programs, flowing with our community’s growth, but facing financial challenges.
◦ Requires 2 days of volunteer commitment per month.
3. Mountain Guide Membership: $250 per child per month
◦ Tailored for families with significant financial burdens who still wish to navigate our educational terrain ensuring accessibility for all. This option is subsidized with limited scholarship funds.
◦ Requires 2 days of volunteer commitment per month.
Volunteer Discount:
• Sibling Discount Equivalent: Your family benefits from reduced tuition costs when you contribute 2 days of volunteer service per month, regardless of the number of children enrolled.
• You can opt out of volunteer days if you wish to contribute an additional $75 per volunteer day. This is on top of the tuition amount.
Applying for a reduced tuition:
Rather than requiring a formal scholarship application we ask that you honestly consider various financial and personal factors. As you make this decision, we encourage you to reflect on your overall financial picture and future prospects, taking into account not only your present-day income but also:
• Your current, reliable, and/or future income streams.
• Ownership of property and other valuable assets.
• Investments and retirement funds.
• Potential inheritances, both anticipated and current.
By considering these broader financial factors, you can make a more informed and equitable contribution. Remember, the more you can contribute, the greater access you create for families in need, ensuring that our learning community remains inclusive and supportive for all. Your thoughtful contribution helps sustain our program and makes it accessible to everyone.
ENROLLMENT/MATERIAL FEE: A one time $200 non-refundable enrollment/material fee will be required. For returning families $100 is requested each consecutive year.
ADDITIONAL FEES: We strive to include all activities and costs in our enrollment fees however, occasionally nominal fees may be requested for field trips or optional specialty classes that are aimed to enrich our children's experience.
THIRTY DAY NOTICE: Families are required to give notice no less than thirty days before child(ren) leave the program.
VOLUNTEER BACKGROUND CHECK: All regularly scheduled volunteers will be required to undergo a background check which is $75.
